The Ontario Association of Career Management (OACM) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing the knowledge, service delivery, and the livelihood of career management professionals across Ontario.
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join the Board of Directors in the position of Treasurer. Interested candidates should be passionate about supporting the OACM and its continued growth and success, as well as about good governance, fiscal responsibility, organizational development and professional advocacy.

Duties of the Position:
Responsible for the financial oversight of OACM, including:
- Preparing and delivering reports on association finances at each Board meeting and each AGM regarding the fiscal status of the association, analysis and reports on financial reimbursements, questions, planning and other issues
- Managing a small budget of < $15,000
- Making arrangements each year for tax preparation
- Reconciling event expenditures
- Signing Officer for association bank account and liaison for PayPal and Eventbrite accounts
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and support for the mission and purpose of OACM
- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and preferably accounting
- Familiarity with board governance structures and the non-profit sector an asset
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to work as a team member
Responsibilities
- Become a fully paid Member of the association
- Be available to serve a minimum of a 2-year term with eligibility for reappointment for successive terms
- Attend 6-8 board meetings per year (in-person or virtual) plus the Annual General Meeting
- Join at least one (1) board committee and attend meetings as required
- Register for and attend OACM events as often as possible
- Volunteer to assist with the organization and logistics of OACM Professional Development events and other initiatives designed to strengthen the association
