The Ontario Association of Career Management (OACM) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing the knowledge, service delivery, and the livelihood of career management professionals across Ontario.
We are currently seeking a volunteer join the OACM as a Social Media Administrator. Interested candidates should be passionate about supporting the OACM and its continued growth and success, as well as about strategies and tactics to increase OACM’s social media presence. - Approximately 1-3 hours per week
- Minimum 1-year term
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with web, social media marketing and communication platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Weebly, MailChimp, Eventbrite
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Capable of working in a virtual team environment on your own time with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Be a fully paid Member of the association
- Administer and maintain OACM’s web and social media pages
- Create, distribute and manage key communications to members and non-members about OACM events (6-8 annually)
- Work independently and with other members to help build OACM’s social media profile, and document/share information on its activities and events
- Understand OACM’s mission, purpose and audiences to develop and post original content to its social media sites about different issues that concern the organization and its focus areas
- Monitor social media groups, trends, tools, and applications and recommend actions/next steps to the Board of Directors
