The Ontario Association of Career Management (OACM) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing the knowledge, service delivery, and the livelihood of career management professionals across Ontario.
We are currently seeking a volunteer join the OACM as an Event Coordinator for the 2018-2019 event calendar. Interested candidates should be passionate about supporting the OACM and its continued growth and success, as well as about planning and coordinating top-notch events for a growing professional membership. Commitment:
- 5-7 events annually, in-person and/or virtual
Qualifications
- Experience with event planning and coordination
- Experience with virtual meeting tools (webcams) and web-conferencing platforms such as Zoom an asset
- Strong organizational skills and self-direction
- Capable of working in a virtual team environment on your own time with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Be a fully paid Member of the association
- Meet with the organizing committee to plan the scope and format of the event and provide regular status updates during the planning stages
- Secure event venue(s), catering (if required) and room set-up requirements
- Oversee all event day logistics – manage event flow, registration, signage and badges, set-up/tear-down, catering, technical and A/V, event volunteers
- Create and maintain a list of venues, pricing, contacts and set-up specifications
